I was already approved for IDX with another vendor. Can I use that existing approval for iHomefinder IDX?
Sorry, no, IDX approval is vendor-specific. Real estate board rules do not allow us to use approvals for other vendors.
I work with a team of agents, and we want to have a shared IDX site. Do we all need to be approved?
In most cases, yes, each agent will need separate paperwork and will need to be approved.
In general, all agents must be in the same brokerage office (with the same designated managing broker), and all agents must be active members of the MLS® System for which you are requesting IDX. (It’s generally not possible to have an IDX site between agents in different brokerages, or for one agent in one board and a second agent in another board.)
Specifics can vary by local board and in the event of many agents sharing one site. If an entire office uses one website, usually only approval for the managing broker is required.
Will I be notified upon approval?
* Yes, we will notify you by email within one business day of receiving approval for your IDX from your real estate board or MLS® System.
* If you receive approval for iHomefinder IDX from your real estate board or MLS® System, and we are not copied on the email, please forward that email to [email protected]
How long does obtaining approval for IDX from my local Real Estate Board or MLS® System take?
In general, please allow a few business days for a board to issue approval (after the paperwork is submitted) in most cases. Some boards have longer approval times. We will follow up with your board if we don’t hear back from them after submitting your completed paperwork to their office.
Approval timeframes vary among boards, from the same business day to approximately two weeks after (1) you sign up (2) you provide us with the required IDX paperwork or information specific to your local board.
Can I go live before my IDX is approved?
In most cases, yes. However, the following MLS Boards require that your IDX be approved before your website goes live:
- NWMLS
- Maine MLS
- Northwestern Wisconsin MLS
- WVMLS
What is the general paperwork submission process?
We provide you with the IDX paperwork and instructions by email when you sign up for a paid account.
Please submit your completed IDX paperwork to [email protected]
After you send your completed IDX paperwork [email protected] we’ll send it to your MLS within one business day.
It can take several business days, after you send your completed paperwork to us, for your MLS to provide IDX approval.
We’ll let you know as soon as you’re approved by your MLS, or if anything further is needed.
We’ll also be sure to follow up with your MLS if we don’t hear back from them soon after sending in your paperwork.

My IDX is from a regional data share, and I'm a member of more than one MLS® System in that data share. Do I need to submit paperwork for both of the boards where I'm a member?
In most cases, no, you can select one MLS® System from the data share for which you will complete paperwork and be approved for IDX from the regional data share.
If you sign up for more than one MLS® System (which don’t share data) you will need to complete paperwork and be approved for each one separately. We will provide you with automated emails for each board you select when you sign up for our service.
Can IDX be added to my website before the MLS® System approves my account for IDX?
Sorry, no, board rules prohibit us from doing this.
What if I change brokerages or my website URL after being approved?

How do I submit IDX paperwork and obtain approval for IDX from my local Real Estate Board or MLS® System?
Please follow the instructions in the email you received when you signed up for IDX.

Please note, we cannot activate IDX on your website until we receive approval in writing from your Real Estate Board or MLS® System.
Items to Note:
* We are not permitted to add IDX to your website until you are approved for IDX by your real estate board or MLS® System.
* We submit all incoming client paperwork to boards for their review and approval, and we process all completed approvals from boards within one business day of receipt. Our hours are 9 am to 5 pm Pacific Time, Monday to Friday, excluding most US holidays.
* Some boards require additional fees paid by the member directly to the board, and others require website compliance reviews before IDX approval.
* We will let you know of any specific situation related to the approval of your IDX website.
