Public portal websites like Zillow, Trulia, realtor.com, and realtor.ca receive different listing data feeds than IDX sites operated by other agents and offices.

Listing agents and brokers can sometimes authorize listings to show on these public portal sites while choosing not to release their listings to IDX sites.

Notes for your listings

Suppose a listing where you represent the seller is showing on portal sites but not in IDX, and you wish for it to show in IDX. In that case, you or your broker need to authorize the listing for IDX (also known as broker reciprocity) in your MLS® System.

Or, if you wish for your listing (where you or your brokerage represent the seller) to show on your site, but not on any other IDX website, you can add it as a supplemental listing in the IDX Control Panel.

Notes for your listings in specific boards

Suppose you are in the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). In that case, you must set your listing to both “Distribute to Internet: Yes” and“Permission to Advertise: Yes” in the TREB system. (We do not provide DTA, DLA, or VOW listings in TREB – only IDX listings.)

Suppose you are using our service for the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). In that case, you must authorize your listing for the CREA National Shared Pool in your CREA dashboard. (We do not provide office-only member website feeds in CREA – only National Shared Pool authorized listings.)
